Vacations & Humans

All of us love vacations, don't we? No wonder the likes of Club Mahindra, Country Club, etc. are doing brisk business. They will continue to reap the benefits from the always 'holiday hungry' human race. Why, because of the race... we are always in some or the other kind of race.

> Racing to reach first
> Racing to go ahead in career
> Racing to get the best marks
> Racing for everything that you could possible imagine

In fact, middle class Indian family representative will race to the railway ticket counter, as early as 8 in the morning to avoid traffic and the ticket ironically will be for a 'vacation' reservation.

Have we stopped to smell the roses? It won't be surprised if someone starts asking, do roses smell? Ask yourself when did you last smelt the rose or the rain hugging mud?

A lot of the race directly or indirectly is for money. Period. But then what's the point spending this money for the feeling that you earned while earning it?

May be we should reconsider the way we look at life. Work hard, party hard... is the typical catch line we all can relate to. May be we should work smart, get results, and also work hard whenever necessary and enjoy life every day than wait for one occasional party.

If this makes sense to you, read on as I will be posting various cost effective, less back breaking, weekend getaways, holidays that won't let you feel that you should race again to gain the lost money!
